WE ARE A CHURCH THAT ROLLS UP OUR SLEEVES AND GETS TO WORK.
IMMIGRANTS AND REFUGEES
Lutheran's have been leaders in the welcoming of immigrants since World War II. Lutheran Church of the Resurrection works with local, national and international organizations to provide logistics and support to the ongoing efforts of welcoming the stranger.
Outreach at Lutheran Church of the Ressurection is how we serve others. Called by Christ we seek to serve others locally, regionally and internationally. By joining with our partners in our local community and around the world we practice love for our neighbor in amazing ways.
INVITING AND WELCOMING
A core value of our faith is welcome to the stranger. Our Inviting and Welcoming Ministry works proactively in our community to build bridges and encourage others to welcome the other.
Our faith teaches that compassion, mercy, love, and hospitality are for everyone. No matter who you are, or where you come from, you are welcome here.
Intergenerational Faith Practices
We believe that our faith is best lived out together, in our daily lives. To this end, we focus on activities, groups, and studies that bring people of all ages and backgrounds together to live out their faith in new and amazing ways.
People of God are given gifts for ministry and are called to use those gifts in service to those in need. Individuals and families in our congregation often need assistance or a kind word during life's most challenging moments. As members of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection we strive to be a Nurturing community of believers.
Mindfulness is paying attention. It is noticing what you are doing, feeling and thinking at the time you are actually doing, feeling and thinking it. Because God is part of our everyday lives, paying attention to God and focusing on God’s kingdom is a fundamental practice of Christian mindfulness.
