Community Life
Caring Ministry
We think of this ministry as community caretaking. From writing encouraging notes to delivering meals and providing transportation this team works to support our faith community.
Child Care
Volunteer with our Orange Ministry to provide child care in our nursery during worship, special events or small group meetings.
Hospitality
Volunteers on the Hospitality Team serve in roles during weekend worship and special events to provide the wide welcome of God to everyone. Check out the specific roles below.

Adult Choir
Choir members meet on Wednesday evenings for rehersal and provide music for worship throughout the year.
Children's Choir Director
The Children's Choir Director selects music, schedules rehersals and works with the Music Director to schedule performances throughout the year.

Cantor
The cantor leads the congregation in the call to worship at the begining of the service.
Worship Band
The worship band provides music and leads the congregation in singing once or twice a month. The band reherses on Sunday afternoons.
Bell Choir
The bell choir performs with tone chimes and hand bells and provides music during regular worship services as well as special events throughout the year. The group reherses once a week.

Manna from Heaven (Appalachian Mission)
Through mission trips and monthly donations to this mission in Myra, Kentucky, we help our Appalachian friends in times of stress and need. In addition to a food pantry and clothing closet our volunteers also help to teach and support sutainable gardening and other programs to help folks break the cycle of poverty.
Guatamala Missions
LCR supports our perminant missionaries in Guatamala the Doppenburg family and provides financial and tangible support for the Centre of Hope. Volunteers with this program have the opportunity to walk with our missionaries and local people and learn how God is working in their lives. Mission trip opportunities are provided each year.
Hunger Taskforce
Volunteers coordinate the collection of donations and facilitiate educational opportunities and provide tangible help for those in need.

LCR partners with the ELCA Navajo Mission Church and School in Rock Point, AZ.
Disaster Relief
Annually, volunteers from LCR join with other Lutherans across the country to rebuild and provide support in areas where distasters have struck. Previous trips have included New Orleans (Hurricane Katrina), Birmingham, AL, West Virginia, and the East Coast.
Fair Trade (ELCA Good Gifts Campaign)
Each month we sell fair trade items that help to support farmers and their families around the world. From the fair trade coffee we brew each weekend to our fair trade market in the fall we are proud to partner with artisans and farmers both locally and internationally.
Inter Parish Ministries (IPM)
LCR partners with IPM to provide volunteer support in addition to food drives and mobile food pantry events throughout the year.

Each month LCR partners with community organizations to provide a meal for our neighbors.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Volunteers knit prayer shawls that are distributed as a means of comfort to patients at local hospitals and to other needign comfort in difficult times.
Migrant Worker Ministry
Volunteers provide meals to migrant workers at Belterra Park Race Track in Anderson Township.
Stitch and Stuff
Volunteers create blankets and quilts that are distributed through our community partners in Guatamala and at the Navajo Mission Project, Cincinnati Children's Hospital and Lutheran World Relief.
