God's Work. Our Hands. COVID Edition
The world may look a little different right now but the ministry of God's Church carries on! Each year we gather to serve our neighbors of God's Work Our Hands Sunday. This year the Inviting & Welcoming Ministry has put together four opportunities for you to serve our neighbors, online and socially distant.
Download templates and join our letter-writing campaign with topics like racial justice and equality, LGBTW Rights, housing inequity, hunger, and climate change. We have provided you with contact information for your local representatives or you can drop them off at the church by September 14th and we will mail them to the ELCA so they can be part of the ELCA's national advocacy efforts.
ELCA Advocacy Tools and Resources
Adopt a Block
Spread the love on your street by chalking special messages and placing awesome yard signs. Stop by the church on September 11th-13th and pick up your "adoption kits".
Canned Food Drive-In
Drive by the church on September 13th from 11 am until noon and drop off non-perishable food items at our drive-through. Collected items will be donated to Inter Parish ministries and SEM.
Yards of Love
Stop by the church and pick up a yard sign and show our community they are loved. Place the sign in your yard or somewhere else around town and show some love. Signs have messages like "hate has no home here" "Beloved Community" and more.
