DESCRIPTION:Join us to learn about the fascinating history of religion! Thi
 s isn't a boring history class. (We promise!) \nWe'll explore religion's
family tree over the course of the school year\, from its deepest roots in
pre-history to its current blossomings in our present settings. We'll exp
lore the loving relationships between humans and the Divine that have prom
oted flourishing in religions across time and place\, the skeletons in the
closet that can be tough to acknowledge\, and\, of course\, the delightfu
lly strange family secrets lurking behind every family tree. We'll have a
special focus on our own branch\, Christianity. \nBy the end of the year\
, students will have a deeper understanding of how religions function in s
ociety and in their own lives\, empowering them to imagine new futures for
their own faith and religious expression.\n\nCheck out past classes: lcre
