The Contemplative Service is held every month on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm in the church sanctuary. Held in a small circular space in the sanctuary the candlelit service is quiet and prayerful. Services include a guided meditation, silent contemplative prayers, scripture reading, music or chanting. Each service is unique and enriching.  The service is offered both in-person on livestreamed via Facebook Live. Past services can be found under the MEDIA tab above.

Covid has caused us to cancel our yoga classes for now.  We have every intention of beginning classes again.  Dates and times of future classes will be announced once we decide to restart.

The classes are led by Sarah Pritts, M.D. Sarah brings years of experience and expertise to the exercise. Leading with a reflection on scripture, Sarah encourages participants to see the practice as a way of connecting with the spiritual.

The contemplative study group meets on the third Saturday of the month in the LCR library from 9:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Join us for prayer, contemplation and book discussion.

OCTOBER 12 - Ron Esposito

As part of our Jubilee year, the Christian Mindfulness Community is presenting a guest leader, Ron Esposito, on October 12 at 7:00 pm.  This service will be both in-person and livestreamed via Facebook Live.
Ron Esposito is a crystal and Tibetan singing bowls player and recording artist. He also is a certified life coach and Enneagram teacher at the Conscious Living Center in Cincinnati. Music from Ron’s six recordings is heard in the television shows Hawaii 5-0, Arrested Development, Ray Donovan and Blackish and in the Netflix film Antebellum, featuring Janelle Monae. Some of Ron’s music and tracks from his Open Heart recording were played on NPR’s music soundscape, Echoes. He plays the singing bowls in concert and for yoga and meditation with the intention of us ascending on the spiral of consciousness.
Please join us for this enlightening evening of prayer and meditation with Ron and his singing bowls.
“The sound of the singing bowls is like clouds dancing across the empty sky of Mind.”
