Youth Group Activities

LCR has two active youth ministries, the high school youth group and the 3-in-1 confirmation group which include grades 6-8. The currently scheduled activities are listed below.

2009 ELCA National Youth Gathering

In July of 2009 we attended the ELCA National Youth Gathering in New Orleans, Louisiana. The national gatherings are held every three years.

The theme was Jesus, Justice, and Jazz. The context of post-Katrina New Orleans provided an opportunity to emphasize the connection between faith in Jesus Christ and the practice of serving. Over 36,000 youth and adults attended - the largest gathering since the hurricane.

Fundraiser

The 3-in-1 Youth Group will be collecting recycled inkjet cartridges to reduce pollution and raise funds to support the Wernle Home in Indiana. Please place your empty inkjet cartridge in a ziplock baggie. 3-in-1 will collect inkjets and send them in for payment. All proceeds will go to the Wernle Home.

(NOTE: do not tape over the printhead. It will damage the printhead. Also NO toner cartridges please.)
