Music Ministry

LCR has a rich music ministry with opportunities for all to participate. We have Adult and Youth choirs and a Tone Chimes choir. Our Praise Worship band is made up entirely of LCR members, from age 10 to 60+. Each service has a Cantor who is also a member. Every year the children perform in a Christmas play, which is an opportunity for not only singing but also acting, dancing and speaking.

Adult and Youth Choirs

September 17, from 7 – 7:30 p.m. The choir is open for all second through fifth graders. Feel free to contact Diane Hill (DianeHill736@aol.com) with questions.

Tone Chimes

Our Tone Chimes bell choir welcomes newcomers and invites past participants to rejoin this fun group. Please contact Art Hagerdorn or Judy Von Busch if you are interested.

Joyful Noise Band

We offer a Praise Service with the full liturgy, so you get a contemporary service without missing the essential parts of a traditional service. We are a diverse congregation and that diversity is reflected in our Joyful Noise Band, with members aged from 13 to over 60, offering their talents in singing, playing instruments, writing and reciting poetry and even writing original music. If you are interested in participating, please contact John Snowden at 513-553-6442 or john.snowden@serviceexperts.com.

Cantors

Each service has a cantor. The cantor leads the congregation in parts of the liturgy that are sung. Please contact Michelle Davidson, LCR’s Music Director, at 533-0272 or mmdavidson@gmail.com if you are interested in becoming a cantor.

Children’s Christmas Play

Every year there is an opportunity for children to perform in a Christmas play. This provides opportunity not just for singing, but also acting, dancing, and speaking. Information is provided to the congregation each year in October.
